Top 25 Albums of 2011: #23 Audio, Video, Disco by Justice

Audio, Video, Disco is one of those albums that couldn’t possibly have lived up to its enormous hype. And while it’s not a world-changer, it’s a great album filled with jams that could provide the soundtrack to any party.
Justice went in a slightly different direction in this album, choosing to explore some of the space occupied by 70s guitar rock. There are stadium-rattling guitar riffs in here that will stick with you well beyond your first listen. And of course, there’s still a ton of the dirty basslines that are the backbone to any good Justice track.
Don’t believe some of the negative reviews floating around out there (I’m looking right at you, Pitchfork). This album has some great jams on it and shouldn’t be neglected, as long as you listen to it very loud.
Standout tracks:
On’n’on
Helix
